Description:  After bumbling around in Durand for a while, I decided to head east and see if I could find this pair of Tri-light signals at Duffield. After some heavy searching, I finally found them at Reid road. Despite the horrid lighting conditions here, I decided to wait for Amtrak's Blue Water to pass by here. Good ol' 28 leads the train past the signals.

Description:  Day two of the 2007 Petoskey Northern Arrow excursion finds it leaving Owosso behind TSBY GP35s 393 and 390. The night before, I had caught the train on the rear of Amtrak 364 heading to Durand, and since I was in the area today, I figured I could go chase it before heading to Flint.

Missed the engines
Title:  Missed the engines
Description:  After "discovering" this location during April's 1225 charter, I was determined to come back here again to photograph something else. After getting the Northern Arrow at King Road, I tried to beat them here, but the 40 MPH speed limit on the TSBY rendered that nearly impossible. While I missed the head of the train, I was just able to capture this shot of the last few cars of the train rolling by, while a jogger watches. The lesson here? When chasing the TSBY, don't stop at King road!

Description:  As I was leaving Flint to head home, I spotted this westbound leaving Bristol Yard from I-69. Shortly there after I heard TD3 calling to tell him that he had work to do in Durand. Got off the highway just west of Swartz Creek and headed for East Durand. Here's CN 391 coming onto the double track while slowing for the yard work in town.
