| Description: |
After catching UP 1988 on CN west of Lansing, I was heading back home to East Lansing when I noticed X500 going through downtown. After grappling over where I could shoot the train, I finally settled on Farm Lane. A very good choice seeing that the crossing closed forever several weeks later. CP 8775 leads X500 over the crest of the hill, completing its climb out of the Red Cedar river valley, as it approaches Farm Lane. |

| Description: |
CP GEVO 8775 leads X500 along Incinerator road as it approaches the Farm Lane crossing on the south side of MSU. This view can no longer be obtained, as shortly after this photo was taken, the crossing was closed for conversion into an underpass. A temporary shoefly now sits where I was standing (or in this case crouching) to get this photo. |
