Why, 500, we meet again! Having recently finished its bio-diesel testing on the Heartland Flyer, Amtrak 500 has once again been released into the general pool. A power shortage has seen the engine's use on the Pere Marquette and as of the upload date of this photo, the engine is still working 370 and 371. Here it sits with 370 as it unloads passengers on its first night in Grand Rapids. Definitely a nice break from the ordinary! |

Due to using a telephoto lens and having limited time to switch to another, I whipped my cell phone out for a picture of Phase IV 519, trailing on 365 this morning. It was a nice treat to be in a consist with this unit again, considering they were slaves to this train between 1999 and 2003. |
