(1) The International Returns! |
Description: |
Well, sort of. Due to a shortage of single level equipment (due to the insanely cold temperatures), Amtrak began using Superliners on the Blue Water in mid-January, giving the train a look that was not-unlike its predecessor, the Chicago-Toronto International. On this day, due to traction motor problems on several Michigan-assigned P42s, cabbage 90218 was substituted on the train. This was the first time since late 2005 that 90218 had seen use on the Blue Water, although several other cabbages had appeared on the train over the winter. |

A Classic Face |
Description: |
The Eastbound Blue Water took off from the Amtrak Station this evening only to stop just ten feet from the platform! One passenger didn't make it in time to board, and he would have missed his train if they hadn't stopped for him! I took advantage of this quick stop to get this shot. The only thing that tells us that this is a Cabbage is the number. Sorry about this being so dark. :( |
